FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS TAKING VERY GOOD CARE OF US – SUDAN EVACUEE COMMENDS NIGERIAN AUTHORITIES
– They gave each one of us N100,000 and airtime for our phones
One of the evacuated Nigerians from troubled Sudan, that arrived last night via airlifting from Aswan, Egpyt; has commended the Nigerian government for the warm reception they have received thus far on arrival in Abuja.
“It is as if Federal Government of Nigeria is making all efforts to make us forget the hardship we went through in the past few weeks. The reception has been wonderful.
“They gave us N100,000 each and activated Sim Cards. Those of us who have inserted the sims say they have N25,000 airtime on the sims while others said it is N5,000 airtime.
“Some of us whose family members are not available to receive them, have been taken to hotels.
“We were all treated to a sumptuous meal upon our arrival on Abuja. I’ve not eaten Jollof Rice that is this delicious since leaving Nigeria about seven years ago.
“I’m sincerely grateful to the Federal Government for their effort in bringing us back to Nigeria and I urge them to speed-up the evacuation of the remaining Nigerians in Sudan.
“I pray for peace to be restored in Sudan as early as possible.”
