
ASAKE NAMED BEST AFRICAN ARTISTE AT 2023 GHANA MUSIC AWARDS BY VODAFONE

At the 2023 VGMAs, Nigerian superstar Asake was named Best African Artist.
The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, held in Accra on May 6, 2023, honored the achievements of Ghanaian musicians and the music business for the year in question.
The Nigerian superstar defeated fellow Nigerian heavy hitters Burna Boy, Asake, Kizz Daniel, and Ayra Starr to win the Best African artist award. The Therapist and Cameroonian-American singer Libianca were also competing for the honor.
For his contribution to Camidoh’s ‘Sugarcane’ remix, Nigerian hitmaker Mayorkun won the prize for Best Collaboration.
Hip Hop star Black Sherif won the award for Best Artist and Most Popular song for his smash hit ‘Kwaku The Hustler’.
