
54TH AGM: AS IFEZULIKE TAKES A BOW, NESTLE PLC NAMES OYEBODE AS NEW NON-EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Mr. David Ifezulike, the non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nestle Nigeria Plc has announced Mr. Gbenga Oyebode, as his new successor as he takes a bow to retire after 10 years of his appointment as Chairman of the Board.
He made this known during the 54th annual General meeting of shareholders in the company which was held in Lagos on Wednesday.
While giving his speech during the meeting, Ifezulike mentioned that in commencement of business, Nestle has built consumers ‘ trust through the quality and safety of its products.
He also noted that the Company is not just in the distribution of food, but also into corporate social responsibility in the area of monitoring and training of the youths in the society while creating job opportunities especially to the physical challenged persons in a way of uplifting unemployment in the country.
While speaking on the Annual General Meeting, he stated that it is an important forum for the company to meet with its shareholders in order to establish cycles of communication based on the Company’s financial reporting calendar.
He added that the information on the performance of the Company and other major corporate information are available to the stakeholders in particular and the public in general.
