UPDATE: IG MEETS DIGs, AIGs, CPs AT FORCE HEADQUARTERS, ABUJA
Senior police personnel from the ranks of Deputy Inspectors General of Police, Assistant Inspectors General of Police, and Commissioners of Police are among those in attendance at the IG conference. The Police Management Team is currently meeting with the acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, at Force Headquarters in Abuja’s Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall.
Speaking to the top officers, Egbetokun emphasized the need for police to be proactive in avoiding crime rather than merely responding to it.
The IG reiterated his commitment to better interagency cooperation between the police and other security agencies while also promising greater welfare for police officers.
