
REMA REACHES 2 BILLION CAREER SPOTIFY STREAMS

Rema’s remarkable career climb continues as he surpasses 2 billion career streams on Spotify as a lead artist.
Rema is one of the artists spearheading the global exporting of Afrobeats, with his smash tune ‘Calm Down’ topping charts in the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Rema has officially achieved 2 billion career streams on Spotify as a lead artist, following the global success of his single ‘Calm Down,’ which gained additional success with the Selena Gomez-assisted remix.
Rema joined the select group of Nigerian musicians that have achieved a billion Spotify streams in 2022, and just a year later, he’s rocketing to the top of the list following the success of his international smash hit ‘Calm Down’.
‘Calm Down’ has received widespread international praise, becoming the most streamed Nigerian song on Spotify and the most viewed Nigerian music video on YouTube.
The record reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the UK Official Singles Chart. It has received plaques in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Greece, Spain, Norway, and various other countries.
