
ODUMODU BLVCK, KHAID AMONGST OTHERS NOMINATED FOR 2023 HEADIES “ROOKIE OF THE YEAR” AWARD

The Headies Academy has announced its nominees for Rookie of the Year in 2023.
Since its debut in 2006, the Headies has played a significant role in documenting the advancements made in the Nigerian music business through its award, which has now become the most prestigious honor in Nigerian music.
The Headies Academy announced the nominations for the 2023 Rookie of the Year on July 11, 2023.
The list includes fast-rising artist Odumodu Blvck, who has a 2023. Other musicians on the list include Bloody Civilian, who appeared in the film ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ Bayyani of Mavin Records, and Guchi, a singer and Tik Tok superstar, Eltee Skillz, who had a major hit with his 2022 single ‘ODG,’ and emerging star Khaid.
The six musicians will compete in a voting category for Rookie of the Year, who has had a successful musical year despite the absence of an album in the previous year.
The winner will succeed Fave, who was named Rookie of the Year at the 2022 Headies ceremony at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia.
