NAIJA SUPER 8: LOBI STARS, AKWA UNITED QUALIFY FOR SEMI-FINALS

Lobi Stars and Akwa United have both qualified for the Semi-final round of the the Naija Super 8 tournament holding at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan Lagos.
Despite losing to Lobi Stars 2-0 on Wednesday, Akwa United were able to go to the knockout phase after defeating both Yobe Stars and Rivers United in their first two games.
Joseph Atule, who had a game-winning performance, scored twice in the first half to give Lobi Stars the three points.
In the second half, Akwa United scored a goal, but the offside flag was raised to prevent them from having a chance to even the score.
With the victory, Lobi Stars ended the group stage in first place with seven points while second placed Akwa United finished with six points.
Rivers United and Yobe Stars are the two teams to make way in group B having finished garnered one points and zero point respectively.
