Felix Igboke, the Ebonyi Commissioner for Project Monitoring, withdrew a lawsuit he had brought against Mr. Nkemkanma’s election to the Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency.
Igboke was a candidate for the Federal House of Representatives Constituency election on behalf of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

However, Kama, the Labour Party’s (LP) candidate, defeated him in the election.

Igboke brought Kama before the Tribunal to contest the outcomes of the aforementioned election.

The Commissioner, however, announced his decision to drop the case in a statement.

He claimed that he made the choice after hearing more knowledgeable advice from certain well-known figures, his family, and constituents.

He stated that it is important to promote harmony, growth, and improved inter-group coexistence among the constituents.

“I, therefore, wish to inform us that I have withdrawn the said petition against Hon Nkemkanma Kama. This was officially done today 20th July 2023, and in the best interest of our people”

“It was a hard decision but we had to do it. God has bestowed upon each of us great destinies and He decides who gets what at any given time”

“It is my conviction that this decision will among other things offer Hon Kama the needed space to effectively represent our people and contribute his own quota to the development of our dear constituency which has always been my desire and prayer,” he said.

According to reliable sources, the application for withdrawal submitted on July 17 was formally presented before the Tribunal on Thursday, and the matter was thereafter dismissed.
