
NIGERIA EVACUATES 198 CITIZENS FROM SUDAN IN MOP UP OPERATION

A total of 198 Nigerian citizens were departed Port Sudan, in Sudan on Friday morning in a mop up operation by Nigerian authorities to evacuate its citizens stranded in troubled Sudan.
In a short statement by the Nigerians In Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), the Public Relations Officer; Abdurrahman Balogun, he said “The 2nd TARCO AVIATION mop-up flight for the remaining evacuees departed Port Sudan at 6:15am (5:15am Nigeria) today, Friday, 28 July, 2023 with 160 Adults evacuees and 38 infants on board.
“ETA at Abuja is 1:15pm”
The statement however did not say whether there shall still be more flights in the mop up evacuation operation.
