The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the newly appointed National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as “ethically challenged”.

In a statement on Thursday, National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, described Ganduje as ethically challenged; ā€œThe choice of Dr. Ganduje by the APC as its National Chairman, in spite of all allegations against him in the public domain, further confirms that the APC is a cesspit of corruption.

ā€œIt also underscores APCā€™s impunity and insensitivity to the demands of honesty, integrity and moral rectitude required of public office holders.ā€

Earlier on Thursday, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the APC has confirmed the appointment of the immediate-past Governor of Kano state as National Chairman of the party.

It also appointed Senator Basiru Ajibola as National Secretary.

Earlier, APCā€™s National Legal Adviser, Ahmed El-Marzuk, resigned from the partyā€™s National Working Committee, NWC.

El-Marzuk resigned his appointment on Wednesday, following insistence by some of his colleagues that he could not longer be in office due to some allegations against him.
