ENTERTAINMENT: DAVIDO’S CYCLIST FAN ARRIVES LAGOS FROM BENUE, RECEIVES HEROIC WELCOME
Emmiwuks, a supporter of Davido who rides a bicycle, has finally reached Lagos after setting out on August 3 from his home in Benue State.
After cycling across the States for 15 days to give a special gift to his favorite musician, Davido, Emmiwuks finally made it to the major metropolis on Friday.
According to a Facebook post, the Tiv community in the state welcomed him with open arms and gave him a hero’s welcome.
The user sharing photos wrote: “Congratulations to Emmi Wuks, he just arrived Lagos state now and is been welcome by Mdzough U Tiv Lagos State members and Benue Chubby Queen Miss Kpadoo Upev I celebrate you Man After all #IKnowWhereIBelong.”
The well-known rider, who calls himself a “die-hard” admirer of O.B.O., wrote the word “timeless” to express his road experience on his X handle.
He was grateful to his family for their warm welcome and to the DMW chairman for motivating him to achieve greatness.
Emmiwuks left Benue on a quest to honor Davido with a present after his fourth studio album, “Timeless,” achieved tremendous success.
The Afrobeats master advised Emmiwuks to “turn around” and abandon his goal because he wasn’t at home, but the fan persisted in going all the way.
Emmiwuks insisted on waiting for the singer’s return to Nigeria to fulfill his aim of having embarked on his cycling journey from Benue to Lagos State.
