EDO STATE WILL ACHIEVE GREATNESS DURING OUR TENURE – IDUMONZA
Idumonza Isidahomhen, media practitioner and aspirant in the Edo 2024 governorship race, has promised to work with a dedicated and result oriented intelligent team that would realize the salient reasons for the creation of Edo State on August 27, 1991.
This message of hope by Idumonza was conveyed in a statement signed by his media aide, Ordia Omondiagbe on Sunday in Benin City on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the creation of Edo State.
While congratulating the State and its people on the 32nd anniversary, Idumonza noted, with dismay, that after 32 years, the salient reason for creating the State as the socio-cultural and economic Heart Beat of Nigeria has not been realized.
“I congratulate the good people of Edo on this 32nd anniversary. But it is unfortunate that 32 years after, the expectations that Edo would become the Heart Beat of Nigeria which defined that unprecedented enthusiasm with which some of our past leaders pursued the creation of the State, has not been achieved.
“We will not allow the mismanagement of abundant resources of the State in the past 24 years by governments from political parties that don’t mean well for the State to continue.
“Our unassailable developmental plans to be executed by equally dedicated and intelligent team would address these abnormalities and ensure that Edo attains its lost glory when we take over power through the peoples’ votes in 2024, ” Idumonza promised.
