JUST IN: WAEC MEETS TO DELIBERATE ON WITHELD RESULTS TODAY
The 76th meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee has been called by the West African Examinations Council to discuss cases of malpractice and irregularities that occurred during the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination for school candidates.
This was announced by the organization on Tuesday via its official X handle.
Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut was named the head of the Nigeria National Office by WAEC earlier on Monday.
The 2023 WASSCE results were initially made public by the exam authority in August, but 262,803 applicants’ scores had to be delayed because of irregularities in the testing process.
However, the organization has promised candidates that they will be informed of their results after the NEC conference has finished its deliberations.
“The 76th Meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) to consider & decide on the malpractice/irregularity cases arising from the conduct of WASSCE for School Candidates, 2023 begins today,” the post read.
