TRIBUNAL: LASPAGA, TRICYCLE RIDERS CELEBRATE SANWO-OLU’S VICTORY AS A LEGITIMATE ELECTED GOVERNOR

The Lagos State Election Petitions Tribunal’s decision to recognize Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the legitimately elected governor of Lagos State has been celebrated by the Chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators (LASPAGA), the Oniba of Iba, Oba Dr. Suleiman AdeshĀina Raji Ashade, and Tricycle Owner and Drivers Association of Lagos (TODAL).
During the celebration in Lagos on Monday, the Chairman termed the verdict as another well-deserved triumph for the governor.
He claimed that Lagosians had spoken through the ballots, and the court’s legal statement had recognized the decision of the people.
Oba Ashade, mentioned that based on Sanwo-Olu’s track record and commendable accomplishments during the previous four years, millions of Lagosians had no reason to dispute the legitimacy of the mandate they gave him to lead the state for another four years.
He āWe ordinarily thought that the losers should have displayed the good spirit of sportsmanship by congratulating the winner. But they chose to contest the election results, which is within their rights.
āNow that the election and the results have been upheld by the court, I hope they will do the needful”.
Oluseyi Bangbose, the union’s vice chairman, also expressed his congratulations to the governor as well as to the APC’s leadership and members while declaring that the decision was a triumph for democracy and a recognition of the wishes of Lagosians.
Meanwhile, Abdulrahman Amusan, the state secretary for LASPGA, commended the tribunal for its thorough investigation of the case and for upholding the law.
Ladun Oladunjoye, the chairman of TODAL’s Lagos Chapter, expressed confidence that the governor will keep his campaign promises and advance Lagos State.
āGovernor Sanwo-Oluās leadership style is transparent, inclusive and people-oriented, he has demonstrated a clear understanding of the challenges facing the state and has taken practical steps to address them,ā he said.
