EDUCATION: LAGOS EXAMS BOARD FIXES BECE RESIT EXAM FOR OCTOBER 12

The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Resit Exam for the year 2023 will be held on October 12, according to the Lagos State Examinations Board.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Board’s Director, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, informing the general public, particularly the affected public and approved private junior secondary schools in the state, that the resit, which had previously been postponed because of the planned national strike action by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), has now been rescheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2023.

He said that the test will take place at various locations selected by the state’s six education districts, which are listed below:

Orunsolu, therefore, implored the Principals and Owners of the concerned schools to take note of the NEW DATE, THURSDAY, 12th OCTOBER , 2023 and to ensure that the affected Candidates were well informed for effective participation in the Resit Examination as excuses for failure to participate in the examination by affected students would not be tenable after the conduct of the Test.

The director solicited the cooperation of all stakeholders in the State to enable the Board conduct a hitch – free resit examination.
