NAIRA MARLEY IN POLICE CUSTODY OVER CONTROVERSIAL DEATH OF MOHBAD
On Tuesday night, the controversial singer Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, was detained by the Lagos State Police Command in relation to the contentious passing of Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, a former record label signee.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Command’s public relations officer Ā said, āAzeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities.ā
Earlier in a tweet on Tuesday night, Naira Marley announced his arrival in Lagos to assist in the ongoing probe into Mohbadādeath, while noting that he would be meeting with the police.
He said, āIād like to share that Iāve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. Itās important I do my part for Imole.
Recall that 27-year-old Mohbad died on September 12th, 2023 after a nurse was alleged to have injected him
The police, last week, also confirmed that pathologists had concluded the autopsy conducted on Mohbad, while the police await the result
