NIGERIA CALLS ON ISRAEL, HAMAS TO DE-ESCALATE HOSTILITIES
The Federal Government of Nigeria has called on Israel and Hamas to de-escalate the ongoing hostilities between the two parties.
The call was made in a press statement on Saturday evening, and signed by Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar.
He said “the cycle of violence and retaliation that current escalation has assumed, only serves to perpetuate an unending cycle of pain and suffering for the civilian population, that bear the brunt of every conflict.
Tuggar added, that “Nigeria calls on both sides to exercise restraint, prioritize the safety of civilians, and give room for humanitarian consideration”.
