Senator Ahmed Lawan, the most recent Senate President, lost his mother.

According to reports, the 9th Senate President’s mother, Hajiya Halima Ibrahim, passed away on Saturday night in the Yobe State town of Gashua. 86 was her age.

Islamic customs will see her buried in Gashua on Sunday, according to Dr. Ezrel Tabiowo, Lawan’s media adviser.

Abbas Tajudeen, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, expressed his condolences to Lawan at the loss of his mother while attending the funeral.

According to Tajudeen’s statement from Sunday, Ibrahim is a successful mother who exemplifies women with the important responsibilities she has played in her life.

The speaker noted that losing one’s mother is terrible and agonising, particularly when her sage advice is sorely required.

While expressing sympathy to the senator from Yobe North Senatorial District who was just elected president of the Senate, Tajudeen pointed out that Senator Lawan’s mother led a life that should be emulated, particularly by women.

In his prayer for her eternal rest, he urged Senator Lawan to find comfort in the fact that his mother had a meaningful life.
