
OLABODE AGUSTO, FOUNDER OF NIGERIA’S FIRST CREDIT RATING COMPANY DIES @ 68
Bode Agusto, a Nigerian economist and the founder of Agusto & Co., the nation’s first credit rating service, has died at the age of 68.
Bode Agusto was a renowned independent consultant in the areas of business strategy, finance, and economics before he passed away.
Agusto & Co. was the first credit rating agency in Nigeria when it was founded in 1992 and was granted a formal licence by the Securities and Exchange Commission. This helped provide credit rating services to the country.
For a period of eleven years, Bode Agusto was the company’s managing director.
