SAKA EQUALS FABREGAS’ CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FEAT IN ARSENAL’S WIN OVER SEVILLA

Saka has become the first player to score and assist in consecutive home games in the UEFA Champions League for Arsenal since Cesc Fàbregas against Sevilla and Slavia Prague in 2007-08.

It was the Gunners’ third win in four games in the group and they have now done the double over Sevilla in this season’s competition.

Saka set up Leandro Trossard for Arsenal’s opener on 29 minutes before Gabriel Martinelli set him in the 64th min for the second goal.

Arsenal, on nine points seat top while Sevilla have two points and are bottom.

In Denmark 10-man Manchester United lost 4-3 to Copenhagen in their fourth game in Group A.

United raced to a 2-0 lead thanks to a double from Rasmus Hojlund in the 3rd and 28th minutes.

With three minutes left in the first half Marcus Rashford was shown a straight red card for a dangerous tackle.

Copenhagen capitalised on the advantage and pulled a goal back on 45 minutes through Mohamed Elyounoussi.

In the 9th minute of added time in the first half Copenhagen equalised after Diogo Goncalves converted from the penalty spot.

Despite playing a man down, United went 3-2 up through Bruno Fernandes from the penalty spot.

Copenhagen poured forward for the equaliser and was rewarded as Lukas Lerager made it 3-3 on 83 minutes.

With three minutes left Bardghji got the fourth goal to win it for Copenhagen.

United seat bottom in the group with three points and Copenhagen climb to second on four points.

Bayern Munich booked their place into the round of 16 after defeating Galatasaray 2-1 thanks to a Harry Kane’s double.

Other results saw Real Madrid thrash Braga 3-0, Inter pip Salzburg 1-0 away and PSV beat Lens 1-0.
