
AIG ZONE EIGHT ONYEKA BOWS OUT OF SERVICE
The Assistant Inspector General of Police, in charge of Zone Eight AIG Bartholomew Nnamdi Onyeka, has retired from service.
Onyeka, who was the 28th Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 8 Headquarters, Lokoja, is from Imo State’s Njaba Local Government Area.
The former AIG, who was in charge of three zones, Kwara and Kogi States, graduated in 1987 from the prestigious University of Chandigarh, India, with a BSc (Hons) Art and a Master of Arts degree in Defence Studies from Punjabi University, Patiala, India.
On March 3, 1990, he joined the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet ASP and was trained at the Police Academy Annex in Kaduna State.
According to Zone 8 Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Inspector Awi Ruth, the AIG instructed the officers and men of the Zone at his last lecture that the job should be done with uttermost dedication to duty and good ethics.
He handed over to DCP Sylvester Edigbanyan.
