LOKOJA LG COUNCIL CHAIRMAN DIES HOURS TO ELECTION
The Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Council, Hon. Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed, has been reported dead.
The late chairman was confirmed dead around 4:30 am at a hospital in Lokoja, where he was rushed to after he slumped at his residence. He was said to have died of high blood pressure in the early hours of Friday, November 10, 2023.
Sympathizers were seen trooping into his family house on Friday morning at cantonment areas of Lokoja to condole the family over his sudden demise.
He was said to have been involved in a series of political meetings ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
The council chairman’s last outing was during the All Progressives Congress (APC) meeting at the state government house, ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Kogi State.
“Doctors confirmed him clinically dead around 4:30am on Friday”, said a family member who craved anonymity.
He will be buried at the Unguwan Kura Muslim cemetery after Juma’at prayer on Friday.
He is survived by his mother, wife and children.
