PRES. TINUBU FELICITATES WITH HOPE UZODINMA, DOUYE DIRI, ODODO OVER GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION VICTORY

Governors Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, and Governor-elect Usman Ododo of Kogi State are congratulated by President Bola Tinubu on their victories in the governorship elections held on November 11.
The President expresses gratitude to the voters in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa for taking part in the election process, demonstrating the tenacity of democratic institutions and the ability of the populace to influence national politics.
According to President Tinubu, the results of the elections represent the will of the people, highlighting the fact that democracy flourishes when voters value ability, openness, and responsible leadership.
The President affirms the need for a sustained commitment to all efforts aimed at further sanitising the electoral system and enhancing the credibility of future elections, while expressing gratitude to the nation’s security agencies for maintaining law and order during the highly anticipated elections and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for working tirelessly to create a level playing field for all contestants.
President Tinubu hopes that after the election procedures are over, the people of Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa States will feel more optimistic and that progress will be solidified, positioning the states as centres of peace, trade, entrepreneurship, and wealth in Nigeria.
President Tinubu invites the winners to put the interests of the people above partisanship in order to promote a peaceful and inclusive political environment in the aforementioned states.
“May your tenure in office be defined by close collaboration with all of your counterparts across party lines in the attainment of pan-Nigerian developmental achievements that benefit everyone, and may you lead at all times with compassion and a deepened commitment to our nation’s unity,” President Tinubu concluded.
