GODWIN EMEFIELE GRANTED N300M BAIL BY COURT
An Abuja High Court sitting at Maitama has granted bail to the detained former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, in the sum of N300million.
The court, in a ruling delivered by Justice Hamza Muazu, ordered the embattled erstwhile CBN governor to produce two sureties, who must be resident within the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and have landed property within the Maitama District.
The court fixed November 28 to commence hearing on the six-count charge preffered against Emefiele by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Earlier, the court had ordered Emefiele to surrender all his travelling documents.
