
AT LEAST 10 KILLED BY BANDITS IN TARABA
It has been revealed that at least ten citizens of Taraba State’s Takum and Ussa Local Government Areas were murdered by alleged bandits.
On Friday, the incident happened in various places within the aforementioned zones.
In a press release, Abdullahi Usman, the state’s police spokesperson, verified the occurrence.
He claimed that the suspected bandits entered Nyicwu village between the Takum axis and the Yangtu Special Development Area. They fired intermittently, killing ten people who were en route to their individual fields.
Following the event, Taraba State Police Commissioner Joseph Eribo gave the order for police officers to work with military personnel to dispatch police operatives to the scene.
He said that an inquiry has been started to find the bandits’ whereabouts in order to apprehend and prosecute them.
