
OKADA BAN: LORRY RUNS OVER WOMAN IN LAGOS
A woman, on Tuesday afternoon was accidentally hit by a Lorry in the Abule-Egba Area of Lagos State.
According to a post on the Lagos State Police Command’s official X page, in a bid to enforce the existing ban on motorcycles in Lagos State, officers deployed to the area were about to be mobbed by motorcycle riders, to calm the situation, teargas was shot.
The woman out of panic flew out of a moving tricycle (keke marwa), fell on the road and was run over by a Lorry.
The Post reads, “Preliminary investigation reveals that earlier today at about 1030hrs at Santos Avenue, Abule Egba, police officers on legitimate enforcement of the existing ban on motorcycles in Lagos State were about to be mobbed by motorcycle riders.”
