SANWO-OLU CONGRATULATES SENATOR OGUNLEWE ON 80TH BIRTHDAY
On the occasion of his 80th birthday, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former minister of works, received congratulations from Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, calling him a dynamic politician.
He stated that Senator Ogunlewe, the Third Senate representative for the Lagos East Senatorial District, embodies commitment and sacrifice in public service, party politics, and government.
Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that Senator Ogunlewe, a member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the highest authority body in the Lagos APC, has had a significant influence on Lagos politics over the past thirty years in a congratulatory letter released on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile.
As a seasoned politician and administrator who has utilised his positions for the advancement of Lagos State and Nigeria on several occasions, the governor praised Senator Ogunlewe. The APC leader made significant contributions to the state’s development as a distinguished senator, minister, and permanent secretary.
He said: “On behalf of my wife and family, the government and people of Lagos State, as well as members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), leaders and members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), I congratulate Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, on the auspicious occasion of his 80th birthday. It is with great delight that I join Senator Ogunlewe’s family, friends and political associates to celebrate his 80th birthday.
“Senator Ogunlewe deserves to be celebrated on his 80th birthday as his contributions to the growth and development of our dear Lagos State are innumerable, having served the State passionately as Permanent Secretary, elected Senator and as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“As Senator Ogunlewe joins the Octogenarian Club, it is my prayer that the Almighty God will continue to bestow on him, good health. He will witness many more fruitful years of continuous service to humanity, his community, Lagos and our dear country, Nigeria.”
