KANO GOV APPOINTS ACTING SSG, PROMOTES CPS, OTHERS
Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abdullahi Musa as acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG), awaiting the return of Dr. Baffa Bichi from a medical trip.
This was contained in a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Malam Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kano on Thursday.
The appointment was made possible by SSG Bichi’s medical leave, which he took to seek treatment in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Similarly, Yusuf approved the immediate promotion of Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, his official spokesperson, to Director General, Media and Publicity.
According to the release, other political officeholders were also appointed to other positions.
Rabi’u Saleh Gwarzo was appointed as the new Permanent Commissioner I SUBEB; Sarki Ahmad as the Director General, Rural Access and Mobility Project; and Surajo Imam Dala was appointed as the Director General, Cottage Trade and Street Hawking.
Dr. Dahiru Saleh Muhammad is the Executive Secretary of the Science and Technical Schools Board; Abubakar Adamu Rano is the Deputy Managing Director of Radio Kano; Hajiya Hauwa Isah Ibrahim is the Deputy Managing Director of ARTV; and Dr. Gaddafi Sani Shehu is the Deputy Managing Director of Kano Hydro Electricity Development Company (KHEDCO).
The governor congratulated the new appointees and urged them to begin their new roles immediately.
