NPFL: SUNSHINE STARS ATTACKED BY SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS

Reports indicate that members of Sunshine Stars of Akure were attacked along the Ore-Benin Expressway on Thursday evening.
Sunshine Stars were on their to Benin, Edo State to honour an Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) tie, against Insurance of Benin , scheduled for this weekend.
It was learnt that the Akure team’s ball boy was shot in the horrible attack. Also, the team manager and other club officials including players were seriously injured .
Officials of the Federal Road Safety corp assisted to rescue the injured officials and also evacuated the shot individual to a nearby hospital.
