ATTACK ON SUNSHINE STARS DISHEARTENING – 3SC
The management and the entire staff of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, have expressed sadness over the attack on the Sunshine Stars FC of Akure by suspected hoodlums.
Reacting to the ugly incident, which took place Thursday, along the Ore-Benin road, the 3SC management described it as disheartening.
“We received the news of the attack on our brothers, the Sunshine Stars FC of Akure by suspected hoodlums, along the Ore- Benin road, while traveling to honour Saturday’s NPFL matchday 13 fixture against Bendel Insurance in Benin, vwith sadness and shock.
“Most disturbing is the report of injuries sustained by the Team Manager and a backroom staff of the club, who were shot by the attackers, as well as some players and other officials.
“Our heart is with our brothers as they go through this horrible experience and we wish the injured officials quick recovery.
“May God in his infinite mercy, continue to guide and protect us in all our journeys”,
