Charges them to redouble their efforts …….
357 workers have been authorised for promotions inside the Nigeria Customs Service, according to the organisation’s administration.
The decision was made during the management meeting of the 7th NCS, which was presided over by Adewale Adeniyi, the Comptroller General of Customs, according to a statement released by the agency on Saturday. Abdullahi Maiwada, the National Public Relations Officer, made this announcement.
According to Maiwada, the recipients ranged from Inspector of Customs to Customs Assistant I.
He went on to say that the employees on general duty and support staff who performed very well in the 2023 promotion process are included in the full promotion list.
“The breakdown of promoted officers is as follows: AIC to IC (246) GD, AIC to IC (37) SS, CAI to AIC (39) GD, CAI to AIC (27) SS, CAII to CAI (7) SS, CAIII to CAII (1) GD,” Maiwada explained.
The service’s spokesperson added that the strategic advancement shows the visionary leadership of the CGC.
“Which emphasises on motivation, recognising excellence, and rewarding diligence within the service,”
Adeniyi commended the recently promoted officers and gave them a directive to intensify their efforts in achieving the three main goals of the service: generating income, stopping smuggling, and facilitating trade.
