NPFL REJECTS ‘INVALID’ KATSINA UNITED INTERIM MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The governing body of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has rejected the new management of Katsina united, tagging it as ‘invalid’.
This is contained in a letter that was initially addressed to Katsina United’s chairman and made available to hotjist.com, following the appointment of an Interim Management Committee to temporarily oversee the management of the club.
According to the letter, the rejection of the appointment is due to its “contrary to the extent rules governing the administration of Football Clubs Licensing regulations.”
“The body will only recognize the officials listed whose names and credentials were submitted during the Club licensing exercise for the 2023/24 season, unless a substantive appointment is made and the appointed officials are registered in accordance with Club Licensing requirements.”
The body says “the essence of the Personnel and Administrative Criteria of the Club licensing exercise is to foster good Corporate Governance and Administrative practices, ensue the consistency of management and avoid disruption of club operations during the course if the season, in line with global practices as enunciated by FIFA and CAF.”
