NIGERIAN ARRESTED FOR MURDER IN LIBYA
In Libya’s Kufra District, a Nigerian man has been taken into custody for the murder of another Nigerian.
The Migrant Rescue Watch announced this on Monday through a post on its X account.
The post revealed that the accused admitted to the crime, blaming a personal conflict with the victim, after being detained following an investigation into the identity of a deceased person brought to a Kufra hospital.
The post read, “05.01.24 – Police, in response to a report of an unidentified deceased person delivered to hospital in Kufra, launched an investigation and arrested a Nigerian.
“The accused, during interrogation admitted to killing the victim (also of Nigerian nationality) following a personal dispute. The case was referred to Public Prosecution for legal action.”
