SHEIKH ABDUL-HAFEEZ ABOU’S DEATH, A GREAT LOSS TO LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA – AGORO

Read Time:1 Minute, 12 Second

I received the news of the demise of Sheikh Abdul-Hafeez Abou, Baba Adinni of Lagos and Chairman of the Executive Council of Lagos Central Mosque, today, with a rude shock and heavy heart.

As a renowned Islamic scholar and one of the topmost Islamic clerics in Nigeria, Sheikh Abdul-Hafeez Abou was dedicated to the propagation of the gospel of Allah (SWT) not only in Nigeria but also throughout the whole world. He was a role model to many Islamic faithful including clerics and leaders. He also contributed to national development and peaceful co-existence in the country.

His exceptional contributions to the Muslim community in Lagos State and beyond are a legacy that will, no doubt, stand the test of time. While taking solace in the quality of the remarkable life of moral integrity, discipline, selfless service and sacrifice lived by the late Baba Adinni, we can only trust in Allah (SWT) to keep and abide with all members of his family and the Muslim community during this time and beyond.

As I commiserate with the family and Muslim community in Lagos and Nigeria for this irreplaceable loss at this grieving time, I want us to view this as a celebration of a century and one year of a life well spent, as I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) grant the late Baba Adinni Al-Janat Fridaus.

Accept my very sincere condolences.
