LAWRECOM SET TO STRENGTHEN LAWS ESTABLISHING LASPARK FOR EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY
The Lagos State Law Reforms Commission’s (LAWRECOM) Executive Secretary, Mrs. Ninilomo Bashar, has announced the Commission’s plan to undertake a thorough examination of the laws that established the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) in order to identify and update any outdated provisions while also taking into consideration any new provisions that may be required.
When she led a team from the Commission on a sensitization visit to the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) on Thursday, Mrs. Bashar revealed this. She noted that, considering the current situation, it is imperative to examine and update all pertinent legislation of the Agency that is out of date.
In her words: “The review is to ensure that the enabling laws are properly aligned with the current situation of the Agency for ease of business, effective service delivery and seamless delineation of responsibilities concerning other Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA) of the State Government”.
The General Manager of LASPARK, Mrs. Adetoun Popoola and Management staff, who had earlier welcomed the team which also included Mr. Ogunowo Adeola, Ms. Adeleke Ayomide and Ms. Bola Williams, took them on a tour of the Agency.
