FCT PCC TELLS FG TO DECLARE STATE OF EMERGENCY IN ABUJA, OVER INSECURITY
In light of the increasing levels of insecurity, abductions, and persistent attacks by bandits on residents of Abuja, Dalhatu Ezekiel, the Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) Commissioner for Public Complaint, has requested that the Federal Government give the area’s security top priority and promptly declare a state of emergency.
At a news conference on Monday, Dalhatu gave a speech about the insecurity in the Federal Capital Territory.
He also urged Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, to halt all ongoing projects in order to address this important matter that affects the lives of FCT citizens.
At the same time, he advocated for the creation of a civilian joint task force as a substitute strategy to deal with instability in rural regions.
