
LAGOS SAFETY COMMISSION ARRAIGNS FAKE CONSULTANTS
On Monday, January 15, 2024, the Lagos State Safety Commission (LSC) and the Police arraigned two men before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court on a three-count charge of impersonation, fraud, and theft.
According to the Commission’s Director-General, Mr. Lanre Mojola, Jephthah Taiwo, and Salako David were detained on January 11, 2024, for pretending to be Commission advisers.
He said that the Commission was alerted to their nefarious activities by vigilant members of the public while incriminating documents such as fake abatement notices, provisional safety compliance letters, and notification forms for construction works, which they claimed were issued by the LSC were found on them.
Therefore, the Director General appealed to the public to support the state government by reporting the activities of such impostors who ask them to pay money into private accounts by calling the Commission’s hotline: 07000SAFETY.
