
KANO GOVERNOR, ABBA YUSUF SACKS EIGHT REVENUE DIRECTORS
Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the immediate sack of eight Kano State Internal Revenue Service (KIRS), directors.
The Chairman of the Board, Sani Abdulkadir Dambo, announced their dismissal in a circular obtained.
The statement ordered them to hand over all duties and responsibilities to their deputies.
According to the statement, “The affected directors include: Director Assessment, Muhammad Kabir Umar, Director Human Resource, Kabiru Magaji, Director Government Business, Ibrahim Sammani; Aminu Umar Kawu, Director Road and Other Taxes, and Muhd Auwal Abdullahi, Director Tax Audit, Investigation & Debt Management.
“Other Directors include Abubakar Garba Yusuf, Director of ICT, Hamisu Ado Magaji, Director of PAYE, and Bashir Yusuf Madobi, Director of Legal & Enforcement.”
He said the move was part of the ongoing efforts of the present administration toward sanitizing public services.
According to the statement, “I am directed to inform you that the mentioned directors have been relieved of their responsibilities and are to hand over to their deputies immediately.”
