United States Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken arrives at Aso Rock for a bilateral talk with President Tinubu. Blinken arrived at the State House about 06:53 pm local time and was received by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tugger who ushered him into the President’s diplomatic room for the bilateral meeting.
Although Blinken is visiting Tinubu for the first time since he assumed the presidency eight months ago, it is his second appearance here since November 2021 when he met President Mohammadu Buhari.
Nigeria is the third on Blinken’s destination in his week-long whistle-stop tour that began in Carbo Verde through Ivory Coast and is scheduled to end in the Central African State of Angola.
