IGBOLOWU COMMUNITY HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING WITH CDA

Lagos State Government has advised Community Development Associations (CDAs) in the State to continue to live in harmony for the overall development of the State.
This was part of the resolution reached at a recent meeting held recently at Igboluwo Town in Ikorodu.
The meeting which was organised at the instance of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, had in attendance key stakeholders, such as the Community Development Association (CDA) Excos, Heads of the families, Heads of Departments from the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development.
The primary focus of the meeting was to address and resolve a three-year long-standing dispute between the CDA and the residing families in Igboluwo Community and its environs.
The Special Adviser expressed his delight at the fruitful resolutions made in the course of the meeting, which would birth cooperation and peaceful co-existence within the community.
Dr. Agbaje also took the opportunity to enlighten the CDA on effective strategies to generate revenue and support the community in achieving various developmental projects.
According to him, “This knowledge will empower the CDA to embark on community projects for the collective benefit of all residents, and foster financial sustainability, which would enhance the overall development and well-being of Igboluwo in Ikorodu”.
He appreciated the active participation of everyone, as it reflects a shared commitment to the growth and prosperity of the community. He urged members of the CDA and the Community to translate their collaborative coexistence to a bigger vision by building a resilient and strong community that depicts the greater dream of Lagos State.
