
(UPDATE) BY-ELECTION: YPP RECLAIMS ANAMBRA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY SEAT
The All Progressives Congress candidate, Musa Mustapha, has been proclaimed the victor of Saturday’s Yobe East Senatorial byelection by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Jajere, the INEC Returning Officer, announced in Damaturu, Sunda, that Mustapha had received 68,778 votes, defeating Aji Kolomi of the Peoples Democratic Party, who had received 18,878 votes.
Prof. Jajere said, “Hon. Musa Mustapha of the All Progressives Congress (APC), having scored the highest number of votes cast and having satisfied the requirements of the law, has been declared the winner of the Yobe East Bye-Election.”
