BREAKING: HUNGARIAN PRESIDENT RESIGNS OVER CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE SCANDAL
President Katalin Novak of Hungary announced her resignation on Saturday in response to the decision to pardon a man involved in a case of child sexual abuse, which incited indignation throughout the central European nation.
“I am resigning my post,” said the close ally of Prime Minister Viktor Orban and first woman to hold the essentially ceremonial role since March 2022, acknowledging that she had made “a mistake”.
