FG APPOINTS ACTING RECTOR FOR FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC OKO
The Federal Government has appointed Mr Uche Onyegbu as the Acting Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra.
This was made known on Saturday in a letter signed by Mr Omotayo Adeyemi, Director, Human Resources Management, Federal Ministry of Education.
His appointment follows the conclusion of Dr Franca Nwafulugo’s tenure as the former Rector on February 2.
Onyegbu is recognised for his experience in both administration and academia, having served as a secretary to four consecutive rectors for 17 years before transitioning to teaching.
His educational qualifications include a B.Sc, M.Sc, and MPA in Public Administration, and nearing the completion of his doctoral programme.
He holds memberships in bodies such as the Nigeria Institute of Public Administrators, FNIPA, Nigerian Institute of Management, NIM, and Professional Secretaries of Nigeria, FPSN, among others.
