SLAIN RIVERS DPO: PRIME SUSPECTS ALLEGEDLY KILLED IN JOINT SECURITY RAID

The police in Rivers State may have achieved a major feat as Gift Okpara popularly known as. 2 Baba, the prime suspect in the murder of a former Divisional Police Officer, Bako Angbashim has been feared dead.
This followed a land and aerial raid on his hideout by joint security operatives in Idu-Ekpeye in Ahead East Local Government Area of the state on Saturday afternoon.
A senior police source who pleaded anonymity as he was not authorized to speak on the raid, disclosed this to our correspondent.
He said, “2 Baba was hit severally with bullets alongside some of his loyalists.
“He fell flat on the ground, but some of his boys quickly took him away. The police is still moving in to get his corpse.”
Recall that Superintendent Angbashim was ambushed and captured by the 2 Baba led gang in Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA of the State in September 2023.
He was taken into the forest where he was killed and his body decapitated and filmed.
When contacted spokesperson of the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, promised to give our reporter a feedback but had yet to do so as of the time of filing this report on Sunday morning.
