
UPDATE: TINUBU TO ATTEND INAUGURATION OF SENEGAL’S PRESIDENT-ELECT, BASSIROU FAYE
On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu will travel from Abuja to Dakar, Senegal, to witness the inauguration of Bassirou Faye, the country’s incoming president.
The president is travelling at the Republic of Senegal’s invitation, according to a press release issued on Monday by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President (Media & Publicity).
As the Chairman of the Economies of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Tinubu will attend the inauguration at the Diamniadio Exhibition Centre, among other regional leaders.
Senior government officials and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, will travel with him.
It is anticipated that the president will leave the inauguration and head back to Nigeria.
