Super Eagles winger, Nathan Tella has expressed delight to have won the Bundesliga title with Bayer Leverkusen this season.
Recall that the Nigerian international was in action as Leverkusen thrashed Weder Breme 5-0 to claim their first ever title.
However, in a chat with ESPN, Tella stated that it’s a big achievement for him to have won a trophy after leaving Sky Bet Championship club, Southampton for a reported €23.3m.

“Feeling happy and tired, but ultimately really happy for all fans, players, staff and everyone involved in the club,” Tella told ESPN.
“I think it is probably one of, if not the best day in the history of the club. I’m happy we can all be a part of it. Champions have a nice right to it.”
The winger also claimed getting the chance to be part of the club’s success is something that will linger his memory for a long time.
“Yeah it’s obviously very special. I’ve always said trophies aren’t guaranteed,” he added.
“The fact that I’ve had an opportunity to come to this club in my first season with an incredibly talented group of players, unbelievable coaching staff, and win something first time of asking is special. It’s an important moment for the history of the club.”
