VIDEO: LAGOS ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION CORPS ARRESTS 18 BRIDGE SQUATTERS
The Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps, popularly known as KAI, has arrested 18 persons for squatting under the bridge leading from Dolphin Estate.
This was made known via X on Wednesday by the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab.
The caption reads, “18 individuals squatting illegally under the bridge leading from Dolphin Estate were arrested yesterday 30th of April, 2024 by the officials from the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial (KAI).
“The illegal shanties have been dismantled this morning.”
Similarly, in February, KAI said it arraigned and secured the conviction of 27 suspected miscreants arrested for unlawful conversion of pedestrian bridges in the state to their abode.
The suspects, after their conviction, were each sentenced to five months imprisonment by the court, according to LAGESC.
