EPL: GO TO SAUDI OR MLS – CARRAGHER SLAMS CASEMIRO AFTER UNITED SHOCKING LOSS TO PALACE
Jamie Carragher, a Liverpool legend, wasn’t holding back when he criticized Casemiro of Manchester United after his team lost 4-0 to Crystal Palace.
In place of Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro was used as a temporary center-back and wore the captain’s armband. He had a terrible game and was directly involved in two of Palace’s goals.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, Carragher urged Casemiro to realize his deteriorating form and explore options like joining the MLS or Saudi League, and advised that he should think about retiring soon.
He emphasized Casemiro’s status as a once-great midfielder, highlighting his pivotal role alongside players like Kroos and Modric, but indicating that his time at the top level may be coming to an end.
Carragher said, “I said at halftime that he had to bring Casemiro off.
“I know he’s got kids on the bench but I think Casemiro, I am being deadly serious, should know himself tonight as an experienced player, that he should only have another three games at the top level, the next two league games and the cup final, and thinking I need to go the MLS or Saudi.
“I am being deadly serious. His agent or the people around him need to tell him it has to stop. We are watching one of the greats in modern times, played in one of the best midfielders in modern time – him holding Kross and Modric on either side, who could easily go up against the Barcelona midfield we all know and loved,” he added.
