INSECURITY: BANDITS ABDUCT BANK MANAGER IN ZAMFARA
Early on Tuesday, bandits invaded Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, and took Mansur Kaura, the manager of TAJ Bank, Gusau, hostage at his home.
The manager was taken to an unidentified location by the criminals who broke into his home at Gidan Dari Bypass on Tuesday morning, according to a source close to the management who spoke to Journalists.
“The bandits entered the area around 12am and started shooting sporadically, they gained access to his house and whisked him to an unknown destination,” the source said.
Yazid Abubakar, the spokesperson for the Zamfara State Police Command, informed the press that a group of tactical police officers from the state command are now pursuing the kidnappers in an attempt to free him unharmed.
“Yes, the incident happened. He was kidnapped at his residence early hours of today but our team is currently on the trail of the kidnappers and I assure you that he will be rescued safely,” he said.
