FINIDI FINALIZES SUPER EAGLES’ SQUAD FOR S/AFRICA, BENIN GAMES

The new head coach of the Super Eagles, Finidi George, has finalized his squad list for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Lesotho.
Finidi has reached out to the players and their clubs on Thursday, sources have claimed.

It is understood that there are “interesting names” included in the provisional squad.
However, those invited will only be confirmed in an official statement from the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
Finidi was put in interim charge of the Super Eagles for two friendly matches during the last international break.
Nigeria beat Ghana 2-1 and lost 2-0 to Mali in those fixtures.
